Awareness of the benefits of Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and allied energy therapies is rapidly growing, although many people now know it as ‘tapping’. This is because the technique involves tapping on the body’s energy system using acupuncture or acupressure points to remove blockages in that system.

It works on the principle that most ‘dis-ease’, whether physical or psychological, is caused by a disruption in the flow of energy around the body, caused by a stored emotional trauma.

EFT is entirely painless, even quite pleasurable and requires no medical training to be carried out safely and effectively. Once you have learned the basics, you can use EFT for yourself and even other people (with their permission) because it is entirely harmless and non-invasive.

Founder of EFT, Gary Craig, advocates “Try it on Everything” and certainly it has been my experience that the wise application of EFT never fails to ease pain, panic, or personal worries – although there are no guarantees. Sometimes we can see a ‘one-minute-wonder’, where a problem clears up like magic. Other times there is a need for persistence; chasing the pain or peeling away layers to address a deeply embedded root cause of a problem or unwanted behaviour.

The blessing of EFT is that you do not need to relive traumatic events to heal them and clear the blockages they cause.

Heather Carter has been practising EFT since 2005 and holds an EFT advanced certificate. She is offering EFT workshops for small groups (up to 8 people) to introduce the basic technique at a very low cost. At the end of the 2 hour session you will be equipped with enough information to use the technique to help yourself, your family and friends.

Heather’s teaching is based on the work of EFT founder Gary Craig and other EFT masters, along with her own experience of NLP (neuro-linguistic programming), coaching and motivational techniques.
